Received an email from wlodek@infoserve.net telling me about his animated banners site, so being polite
I popped over expecting to be greeted by an array of garish flashing moving banners (I must admit I still have
not really got into all these icons and things - give me a good old text only monitor any day).
Well I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised. A very 'classy' site - if you want animated banners on
your site take a trip to www.voytech.com and see what's on offer.
With all the doom and gloom about recessions and market crashes here is an artice
that says that internet business is where it is all happening and that a business on the web should be recession
proof.

In Goa, our ancestral temples are mostly dedicated to Shiva, the male aspect of the Lord, affectionately referred
as "Amcho Sahabu"; others are dedicated to Shakti, the female aspect, affectionately referred as "Amchi
Sahebini." This is how we refer to the Lord as "Sahebu/Sahebini".
The company name was derived from my two initials (AM) followed by the first three characters of my surname
(CHO). This was the login name that was allocated to me at one of the sites I worked at as a contract programmer
- it was easier to pronounce than my surname so the name stuck.

Superbase - now under new ownership
I have developed and still support a number of systems that use Superbase. It is a great programming language -
and for a long time the only decent database programming language on the PC. It has now been overshadowed by Access.
Like many products success is more related to the marketing budget than the product. |
